Cordele
The melon was a hot one. Starting off the day with an hour and a half of practice went really well. I was really happy with the improvements my crew and I made to the car. I felt like we could have made it a little better with some more practice but that’s hard to do with only an hour and half of practice. Preparing for qualifying I had a mind set not to over drive the car and put a good...

Lanier Gas Race
The GAS race at Lanier started off with a sunny morning. Practice was from 1:30 to 2:30. The number 19 BEDD car was handling decent , a little loose off the corner. We felt like we would race pretty good, but still looking for forward bite off the corner. Just before qualifying it came a down pore. Soon after that The race officials called the race and rescheduled it for the next weekend on May...

Dillon SC 4-25-09
Dillon Motorspeedway was an exciting weekend for the number 19 BEDD team. Started out practice really well. changed a few things during practice for forward bite. I felt like we had a really good car for the race, but after qualifying I was really worried about how would race because I qualified 12th. So i was just trying to keep focused and believe in the car that practiced really well. For the...
Anderson GAS Race 4-17-09
Anderson was a rough weekend for us. It was kind of frustrating because I felt like we started off pretty good in practice. The car was handling pretty well, a little loose off but not bad. I thought I would have qualified better than 5th, but ended up on the pole by the roll of the dice. I led about 10 to 15 laps until I was passed by the 1st and 2nd place cars. The car started to fall off really...
Cordele 4-4-09 GAS Series
The 2009 season is underway with the Georgia Asphalt Series. The first race went really well at Watermelon Capital Speedway. Starting off practice Saturday around 2 o’clock I had a decent race car, but still not good enough for a top five car. My crew and I never gave up though and got the car handling to my liking in the last round of practice. After my crew prepared the car for...

Cordele, GA 1-3-09
The Georgia Winter Series race at Cordele, GA this past saturday was my first race of the new year. For being out of a legends car for awhile running late models it took me a couple of practice rounds to get back in the groove. I battled a really loose car the whole day. I drew a number five which put me on the pole for the second heat race. I led all six laps putting me on the outside pole...

Mobile, AL 10-11-08
I have always wanted to go to Mobile to race. The track surface is fairly new so it has a lot of grip. The track is a half mile, high banked, and really fast. When I went out for practice I knew this was going to be a fun race. By the end of practice we were one of the top cars. For qualifying I had confidence that we were going to be good. We were good alright I got my first pole ever in a late...
Pensacola, FL 10-9-08 10-10-08
I could tell when I drove up to Pensacola speedway that I was going to like it. It’s worn out surface put an hurt on the tires within 20 laps which made it hard to get a good reading on the handling of the car. I was really pleased with the car in practice and hoping to have a good qualifying run. I qualified 9th putting me inside fifth row. I had a good solid top 8 car the whole...

Hickory Motor Speedway 9-20-08
I didn’t realize how much history there was at Hickory Speedway until I got there. After looking at all the history there was I was hoping to add my name to the list. It was like being blind folded with no prier experience at Hickory Motor Speedway. I had to learn quick in practice Friday night. First time ever being on Hickory Motor Speedway I was second fastest. Since the car was really...
Lanier National Speedway 9-6-08
Lanier National Speedway was an interesting weekend. Battlinga really tight racecar I knew it was going to be a tough race. I was off about two to three tenths in practice. Withonly one practice round to work with we changed a lot of things on the car for the heat race. I started outside pole leading the first two laps. I fell back to third with the car a little better but not good...
GAS Series At Peach State 8-29-08 8-30-08
This weekend we were on a paved surface at Peach State Speedway. I was feeling really good about Saturday night’s race. I had an awesome racecar thanks to Jim Barfield, Ricky Turner, and my dad. Knowing I had a great racecar it was up to me to put it up front for qaulifying. I had a really good second lap going until I got really loose coming off of turn 4 causing me to lose a couple of...
Dirt Racing At Bulls Gap, Tenn. 8-20-08 8-21-08
It was a fun interesting week at Volunteer Speedway. Starting off the two day show I walked the track with Ray Cook. I took all the pointers Ray Cook gave me and put them together for the three laps of practice. With the little experience I have on dirt putting a good qualifying lap down was a little nerve racking. I came through qualifying 12th. Only being my second race on dirt...

First dirt race at North Georgia Speedway. 8-15-08
After being out of the dirt car for a week now I was anxcious to sling some more dirt. Since I have been around asphalt racing all my life it was quite different being at a dirt race on Friday night. It was unusual to me starting everything so late because in most asphalt racing everything takes place earlier in the evening. To start out the night i went out for practice. With only three laps of...
Thursday Thunder week 10, 8-7-08
The day after my dirt experience at North Georgia Speedway, I jumped into my legends car better known as “MONA”, for the last round of Thursday Thunder. We ran double features because of the previous week rainout. I started 2nd for the first feature. The car was decent, but not good enough for the top spot. So after finishing 2nd the first feature, I adjusted the car for the heat race....
August 8-9, 2008
Having an anticipation to just try to make the race, we loaded up and headed to Anderson Motor Speedway for my 2nd late model race. But only my first race driving for Bill Elliott Driver Development Program. We unloaded with a great racecar, maintaining a good pace around the track. I was on top of the charts one round. With being really pleased with the car I couldnt wait for race day. Raceday...
August 6th, 2008
For the first time in my racing career, I finally get to drive a dirt late model car at North Georgia Speedway. I spent about thirty minutes with Ray Cook, a dirt racing legend walking the track. As we were walking the track Ray was coaching me, telling me things that i need to look for on each dirt track i go to. Also all of my accelerating, decelerating, and braking points on the race track....
